Just a couple of bits done yesterday while I wait for the transmission jack to arrive. Two electrical plugs disconnected for the reverse switch and the speed sensor. Three bi hex bolts removed securing the propshaft to the transfer box this afternoon and shaft moved rearwards as far as it would go, just about clears the pin coming out of the transfer box. A couple of other bits removed on Saturday, the heat shield above the right hand drive shaft and the metal bracket that supports the transfer box (bolts to transfer box and engine block).

And also removed the subframe……..3/4” drive breaker bar proved it’s worth. Having replaced this a couple of years ago everything came apart really well, still amazed at how quickly bolts begin to corrode.

More progress today cracked all the drive shaft to gearbox flange M10 spline bolts, left them loose for now.

The removed power steering pipes, the cooling pipe was installed 3 years ago and is one of the few items that hasn’t started corroding within 6 to 12 months like most parts that I have replaced. The pressure pipe I will clean up and see how it looks although I do have a new one if needed.
