Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Finally sorted an issue with driver's door lock.... Since picking it up the driver's door needed two pulls on the handle to open (locked or unlocked). But as there were more important engine, transmission service needs, was put on back burner. Two weeks ago on shutting the door the lock barrel jumpe...

Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Yes, good to chat and pick your brains, have adopted one of your ideas already! Managed to remove all 4 nuts from rear spoiler bolts, applied a marine grade silicone to inside of boot area around the 4 bolts. Refitted all 4 nuts/washers and re-secured them all, having to use long nose pliers to hold...

Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

A particular niggle that’s been present since purchased, has at last been fixed. Three of the interior air vents had Up/Down flaps that were not in line! Took them out yesterday and spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to sort them out. BIG sigh of relief, after all sorted and no trauma either...

Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Well pleased with results of Autoglym soft top cleaner and protector. Easy to follow instructions, straight forward to apply. Garaged overnight, and pleased with initial colour which seemed much darker. In shade whilst giving it a quick polish (as instructions said keep product off paint and windows...

Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Just used Autoglym soft top cleaner and protector (thrown in when I bought the car). Garaged car after wiping down, so let’s see what it’s like tomorrow. Bought a pack of undertray screws and nuts, rearmost nuts too big for holes in subframe. Too much aggro to try and file to size, will have to visi...

Re: AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Posted update on Oils in TT Arena, just to say that the performance of car after routine service is really sharp now, well impressed! Moving on to service brakes at all corners, couldn’t figure out why N/S/F wheel was difficult to refit. Brake disc securing screw been sheared off!!! Much careful dri...

AK47 “Silver Arrow”

Granddaughters (6&9) came to see us yesterday, they liked the look of Grandad’s new toy! They both (individually of course) screamed “Grandad how fast are we going?”, no answer from myself, concentrating on getting round the road! Stepson was also impressed, he didn’t realise he’d been hypervent...

Newbie here

Hello all, just joined this club after buying a 2002 Mk1 Roadster quattro with BAM engine and Revo Stage 1 remap. No previous with Audi or TT's. This car was bought as a "toy", now that I'm retired and have some time to myself, lady wife is in on this too! Car is pretty much stock apart fr...
