Cannot understand why it’s not posted on here as soon as it’s known where it will be, only 4 months to go and members have to decide if it’s a convenient location for them and may have to book hotels etc.

I would agree, be handy to know for booking things, as we're at Wembley in the evening, depending on location will determine if/how long we can attend for

Happy?

"Happy" that sounds a little sarcastic which is not the way to encourage new members to join the club or existing members to continue membership. I do think its important for members to be informed as soon as possible so they can make plans regarding hotel bookings etc.

I just love how everyone thinks they know how to run this club best yet nobody actually helps out. We've a committee of 6 people of which 2 actually do anything which is possibly more my frustration but after asking and asking for help from our 500 members nothing changes.

I sympathise with your problem of recruiting members to assist in running the club. I help run a bowls club and we have the same problem where it is just a handful of members who do all the work and the rest just sit back and enjoy the club. I guess this is a pretty familiar situation for anyone who helps run a club.
However it seems to me that once a time and venue for the Event is finalised then it should be posted up on this site so that members can make the necessary arrangements and this was the only information I was trying to obtain which does not seem like an unreasonable request.
