Evening all. Well her indoor bought her S-Line SE Roadster in White back in Feb. It's a 2010 with full history and when it was originally ordered from Audi someone ticked a fair few boxes. Good for us, and a cracking spec.

So far it's been a lot of fun to run and own for us both, but sadly she who shall be obeyed is running out of love with the toy, a failed speaker (no big issue), a failed window regulator (a pest but on the same door as buggered speaker so a bonus) and over the last few weeks the o/s headlight has been playing up, finally it was condemned and a new one had to be sourced. I wasn't taking a chance with a second hand one so I asked Audi Edin how much for a unit. I was sitting down, once we had worked out it wasn't Halogen or xenon but xenon HID, oucha. £550. She's distraught, it's been a very expensive week.
So I wandered into Eurocarparts and they wanted £394 for the lamp, but after a bit of chat and hard luck story I got a good discount and finally got the £550 headlamp for £278. Not bad and this is the good bit, it's exactly the same unit as the one it took out the car, right down to the part numbers. Like for Like.

I've now got to get her out of the mind set of selling the car on as it's still a wee cracker.

Fingers crossed.

Si

Hi and welcome to the club
Don't get down hearted you'll find now that the car will go on for years without a fault, my wife just picked up her roadster and is loving it, give your wife a couple of weeks and she will have forgotten about the expense

Are you in Edinburgh ? If so contact star performance regarding the window regulator he's replaced a few over the last few months and he will be cheaper than Audi

Welcome along!

You'll be fine once you've sorted these niggling issues, never fear!
