Been awhile since ive updated..
New gearbox arrived from HPA and has been installed..
The new box is a DQ350 variant and has a new 8:7 Kevlar clutch supplied and fitted b HPA and is supported by a MK2 mechatronic unit running HPA's Stage 4 software.
I also tried installing 2 Liquid Gauges via a splitter cable but was un-successful as the comms was falling over with too much load.
I have sold my existing Liquid Gauge to Roddy, who is very happy with the new aquisition.
I was having an issue with high EGT's and the first port of call was to replace the cylinder head with a suitable forced induction setup as the previous head was a normally aspirated setup with standard size exhaust valves and ported walls..
New head..
To monitor the EGT's i fitted a thermocouple into the DP and now temps have been reduced to a suitable level..
With this new setup i have been on the Swiss Trip (3000 miles) and to GTi International where i put her down the strip a few times at reduced boost levels to shake her up a bit and to see if any issues were present. Needless to say i drove home with no fault codes present and times of 12.9 sec for the 1/4 and a 4.9sec to the 60 at 14psi of boost with no launch control used.
My TT is currently sat in the queue at Autograph waiting to have a new custom driveshaft fitted as the one i have been running with is not suitable for the current application.
New shaft..
Once she is up and running i will be hoping to join the TT gang at ADI, work dependant.
