Bill at Badger5 sent a few pictures of some of the work he has been doing since I left the TT with him, all back together again now with a few bits remaining before mapping including the replacement of a leaking power steering pipe which is not uncommon for its age.

So....on Wednesday got on the train down to Stonehouse to collect my TT from Bill at Badger5.
First impressions lots of intake noise with the new cone filter, this may take sometime to get used to but required as the pipercross panel filter in the OEM filter box just not allowing enough flow for the new turbo.
Multiple maps with 336bhp and 314ftlb being the highest.
Still getting used to the new torque curve and power delivery but have to say the Sachs clutch is really good.
Some cleaning and tidying to satisfy my OCD to be done but otherwise very good overall

Today I removed the engine, coolant bottle, battery and slam panel covers and gave them a good scrub with some soapy water followed by a wipe over with some WD40 sprayed onto a cloth. Not sure how long they will stay like this but certainly a big improvement on what they were like before I started.

Went to Cleveleys on the 9th along with some other members from the TTOC, big thank you to Karen for arranging this for the Northwest members. It was a really good day with lots of different makes and models on display and the sun came out as well after the previous days rain.

Just a small update, following the Cleveleys car show I had a few days free to make a second attempt at removing the forward track control arms after the first attempt last year failed due to not having the right tooling for the job.
Having invested in some more sockets the second attempt proved to be a success and both arms were removed and the replacements installed.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that caster correction bushes had been fitted at the rear when new bushes were fitted early 2016 , so over the coming weeks I will clean up these original arms and get the Cookbots fitted, the job I’d intended to do last year.

Some progress made over the last few days cleaning up my track control arms, sanding and deox gel application leaving for 24hrs followed by more wire brushing and sanding. A bit more to do then some primer, Cookbots and paint hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
