Having been a silent member of the TTOC for several months I thought that it was time I was a little more sociable and introduced myself.
I have admired the TT since I first saw a Mk 1 coupe, and was bowled over by the purity of its styling, its but there was always a good reason not pursue it further. While my inaction persisted, the Mk2 and Mk3 succeeded it. Still procrastination. Two years ago I decided to investigate seriously, but could not work out whether I wanted the aesthetic purity of the Mk1 or the technological sophistication of the Mk3. Oh yes, and there was the little mater of coupe v roadster. Paralysis by analysis.
Resolution, New Year 2019: end the dithering. Decisions followed thick and fast:
1 give way to my love of open top motoring if I they don't do a coupe with an opening roof it will have to be a roadster
2 give way to love of tech, therefore Mk3 because of glass cockpit
3 go for grey for more integrated appearance with the top up.
4 need integrated satnav
After a quest of 2 months I finally found a car fitted the criteria.
Took plunge in late April.
Result:, a summer's driving pleasure.
So even now, when I open the door and see my Nano Grey mk 3 TT, I can't quite believe that I actually did it, but am glad I did. There's no way back now.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
