Just bought a Silver 225, moving from a VW Lupo Sport.

Haven't had time to do anything to it yet except machine polish it - its now back in the garage I got it from to get some little usual things done under warranty:

- Erratic engine temperature gauge reading
- Engine Management Light
- Driver door didn't drop the half inch it should when you open it

Hopefully getting it back this afternoon :)

Its good condition for the age - immaculate interior and only a few tiny bodywork nicks which I've touch-up-sticked better already.

Initial impressions are that it doesn't feel quite as fast as I had hoped - probably needs a remap - but it may be partially limited by the EML being on. It handles ok for a car at such a high ride height. But after the 6 month warranty expires it is being lowered on coilovers - and then if that still doesn't suit me, then I will upgrade the ARB's too. My Lupo used to be so low it had the chassis sat on the ARB so it was always perfectly flat. Main aim is to make the TT as fantastically fun and drivable as the Lupo was - I may be fighting a losing battle - but I will give it a try!

Will eventually be looking for QS rep wheels then in the long run some BBS CH (9x18").

Here is my old Lupo, up for sale at the moment if anyone wants a fantastically cared for little runabout!

Welcome to the TTOC
Check the engine and sure will recover the lost power, if have any doubt, we will try to help you.

Your old VW Lupo looks stunning! and the BBS CH are the right choice.

Best regards,

Nice welcome party!

I've now ordered some pressed plates from Devon Dub Shack (rep for Dubmeister) and some surrounds - would've got the TTOC ones, but didnt notice them till after i'd ordered some blank ones.
Going to order an OEM airbox as the cone filter (poorly fitted by the previous owner sounds terrible compared to the lupo's and looks very untidy in the bay. The usual engine bay bolt kit is also in the eBay basket.

Another Pic after its clean that has some of the other family car's up in Taunton too:

My dad has the R32, my brothers Mini in the Garage, and my mum has a mk1 Touareg.
Proper German car family :p
