Great to be a member of what is obviously a group of dedicated friendly tt owners.
I have just bought myself a very neglected and rather shabby 2001 mk1 1.8 quattro with a few dings and absolutely no service history. Plus side is it has 10 months MOT so a running (sort of) project.
Being retired I was looking for a project and I don't think I will be disappointed in that respect lol.
Having no service history and being used as a running project, I am prioritising changing the cam belt and auxilliary belt and associated running gear.
First problem that has me a little stump at the mo is trying to find the right hand engine mounting (stretch) bolts. Local Audi dealers not particularly helpful.
Any advice suggestions very welcome.
