So my first TT..... actually my first Audi, my first sports car/coupe and really my first car in the last 19years that is not a van or a family vehicle. Ewww.

It wasn't always this boring, I used to be heavily into my JDM cars and quarter miles at Santa Pod and car shows Rar! but then children happened.. I somehow I became 45 and back in Spring I finally started looking for something fun to drive.

After test-driving and looking at a few similar style cars, it was instant love as soon as a drove the TT the feel of drive, the engagement with road it's unparalleled at it's price.

So I bought a low mileage 2005 TT....my first TT mistake!

Now the car is generally sound and I had done some research but not enough...... I got a 2005 190 BVR 2WD Silver Coupe on 69000 miles.

Is that enough said? No? Now I like modifying vehicles not to obnoxious levels but subtlety is key!

But woah what a minefield BVR tuning is....
Will I continue, will I lose all my hair or will I just sell up and get a 225?

So my first full service for her was £410 highlighted a little list of minor issues which I will work through while sensibly upgrading ( remind me of these words later please).

A exhaust issue where the downpipe and Flexi had been welded so badly that the pipe was contacting the shield above the steering rack,
(mystery intermittent noise identified)
So as I wanted to replace the exhaust anyway this was a problem, what was though is BVR compatibility issues!!!

190bhp shouldn't be so different from 180bhp it not actually a full ten bhp it's like 7?!?
Sorry I am ranting 😬
So FYI
BVR downpipe has a sensor, the 180 does not.
I rang around direct every manufacturer there's only one catback in the UK that fits it's Milltek.

The Induction pipe was another compatibility nightmare which I still haven't solved... So any help would be greatly appreciated!

I got my Cloude9 Heatshield and ProRam Oversized Air filter.
3" downpipe with a sports cat which is when my mechanic said he could build me a custom 3" exhaust.

But sadly it has not turned out very good, I know he was under time pressure but the standard of work is terrible and it will be going back!
