Re: BB's TT

Just a small job swapping the black coupler between the MAF and the air filter with a blue one from Forge, a little trimming required to alter the angle slightly to stop contact with the battery housing.

Re: BB's TT

Keep going Brian, it’s worth it in the end. I’ve found a volunteering position that fits me like a glove……………bike hire/maintenance and boat driving (training provided)). This gives me satisfaction and keeps my interest in mechanical “things” going, plus the most beneficial thing……………well-being, in ...

When I was working, we were doing one week in four “On Call” and early morning starts to get petrol station forecourts open ASAP (CCTV in canopies), that meant personal project work had to be timed to satisfactory halt point...

Re: BB's TT

That’s looking really good Brian, hope you enjoy the wheels turning again. Thank you, 7 months of sitting in the garage all cleaned off. First test drive on Saturday and huge boost leak under acceleration :( :( . Unfortunately no time to investigate until yesterday and I’m ashamed to say I hadn’t t...

Re: BB's TT

Air Filter clamps replaced and happy with the fitment, although may change the black silicon joiner between the maf and air filter for blue. Finally sitting on all four wheels and just 7 months of dust and grime to clean off before taking it out and giving it one more check over for leaks etc. Also ...

Re: BB's TT

More progress made and completion is getting very close. The battery has been reinstalled and the TT started for the first time in 7 months, ran for approximately 15 mins in 1st gear and leak checks carried out and oil levels checked, so far so good. The real test will be when I take it out on the r...

Re: BB's TT

So at the weekend I had a bit of a tidy and got the rear of the TT up on axle stands in preparation for starting and running in 1st gear to check the gearbox oil level. I’ve still got a few more bits to do before this happens. On Tuesday I picked up the intercooler crossover pipe after being powder ...
