Having now done this, there are a few small areas of corrosion on the front wheel arches that will need to be addressed next year which should coincide with the planned replacement of my Bilstein B14’s with Bilstein B16’s.

Small job done yesterday but one I had been meaning to do for a while, replacement of the coolant expansion tank.
It also gave me the opportunity to do a little bit of cleaning around the area whilst the expansion tank was out.

Over the weekend I changed out the nearside roof rail with the one I refurbished last year. The one it replaced was new from Audi in 2016 but already signs of corrosion have appeared in a few places.

Small maintenance task today, fuel filter replacement. I had anticipated some difficulties with the fuel lines, in and out. However with the aid of a trim removal tool once the the clip was pushed in I could apply some uniform pressure on either side of the fitting to ease the removal of the pipes from the filter.

Back in 2017 I had a second hand camshaft cover powder coated chrome silver, I swapped this out with my original in 2018. Since then the original has been sat in the garage gathering dust until a few months ago when I started to clean it up.
Wasn’t really sure what my intentions were at the time but it occurred to me a few weeks ago that perhaps it would look good if it was colour coded to the car (Glacier Blue).

Still not sure if this is the way to go and if I should even install it but a few pictures to show how it turned out.
