Delivered just before Christmas 2016, it looked like this:

The first decent drive had to be a little Moor TTour:

First mod carried out, which was only attaching the fly lead for the Ctek battery charger.

Nearly lost the will while the nav maps update downloaded, validated and finally copied to a SD card via the PC. :lazy:

Since the title of this thread includes the words exhaust flap, I've had a quick look at them. One per side on this car and directly operated electrically rather than via a vacuum actuator. The left flap appears to be under ECU control while the right one looks like it responds only to the quiet/noisy button.
It might be quite easy to link the left flap to the right one and have both under my control. :D

I was going to take the car to the local £5 wash gang at a local ex petrol station, but there was a big queue.

I found somewhere else though and after 3 days (with curing times) including:
Washing
Decontamination
Machine polish to remove blemishes
Super fine machine polish
Kamikaze Collection Enrei on paintwork
Stance Rim Coat on wheels, including inside
Intenso Window Coat on the glass

Then it looked like this:

Slightly different brakes to the previous RS. Those are 8 pots with 4 pads each.

Oh yes, the 4 rings bug catcher device on the bonnet was removed. :)

The engine has a much bigger cover than on the Mk2 RS. You can see why - it looks like a snake's wedding under there!

Next came a space saver spare wheel. Unlike the Mk2, there's a complete set of proper parts to fit the spare so I ordered them and the fitting was very simple. The spare fits 'upside down' so I fitted a short extension hose so I can check its pressure without having to lift it up.

The mod raises the level of the boot floor by approx 25mm.

Next came the fitting of the Blackvue dash cams (front and rear). I have no pictures of that but it was interesting running the cable to the rear camera. Since the car has side air bags I chose to run the cable above the roof lining: quite fiddly but successful with the help of some electricians fibre glass cable rods.

I've painted the wheel centre caps to match the wheel colour and swapped the bolt caps from black to grey.

Today I fitted some new door mirror caps which I had painted gloss black. I'm quite pleased with the outcome and even more pleased that the mirror glass out came out in one piece.

Yup. I have a tyre plugging kit in the boot too. It's good to have options.

I used the tyre plugging kit once on the Discovery when I had 3 punctures but had only two spare wheels.
