Some wiring changes, replacement of 6 of the fluorescent lights, roof insulation, compressor maintenance, some pipework mods, a bit of painting and maybe a new front door.

So it's a complete new garage then ;)

A little work painting the wheel bolt caps and the centre cap to match the wheel colour and picking out the Audi-4-rings in body colour:

Over the past few weeks the TT has been living outside while I fitted a new garage door and dug up and relaid the floor.

During that time one of my trees, an Amelanchier lamarckii (or Snowy mespilus) flowered and deposited lots of the petals on the car. I was busy so I just left them. Once all the garage work was done I washed the car so that it was clean before it tried out the new floor.
I was quite a lot surprised to find that the petals had left marks, like a shadow, on the paint! Normal washing didn't remove the marks and nor did hand polishing with Lime Prime or similar.

Hence I'm now on the second day of a full machine polish, paint prep, and re-wax. Luckily the petal marks can be removed with just a light go over with a soft pad and Menzerna fine finish compound.

Petals - who would have believed that they could make such marks on the paintwork? Chemicals or enzymes within them as they turn from white to brown perhaps?

Ho hum: back to work. :)

Not good mate glad you managed to get them off with a light polish

Thanks.

Little petals - not so innocent, and they get into all the panel gaps.
