MOT time again, had new screen fitted and rear lamps all removed, contacts and bulbs abraded by hand, earth points checked, all OK. O/S headlamp needed replacement or try to clear with DIY restore? Cost won and I purchased a QUIXX kit, as it was Auto Express winner. I was VERY, VERY apprehensive as I was about to start, but there was no going back now! I was really satisfied with the finish at the end. Pics don’t do justice, BUT, MOT for another year. Well impressed! House move all done, get garage sorted out now and then get cam chain tensioner replaced. I took a cancellation appointment for hernias, so will have to wait a while now!!!

It’s been a while, moved house and location, MOT passed with 3 advisory items. Rear tyres close to legal limit, I know!! Pensioner, is my excuse☹️ EML illuminated, cam chain tensioner needs replacement, but light had gone OFF, two days prior!! Exhaust centre bracket cracked, been to local garage (recommended), need new bracket (Audi only part!!! Cost £40 ish, fitting cost £20!!!!!) Thank goodness the headlight treatment worked, phew! That did panic me! Attended village gala day, drove through village in convoy, with neighbour’s 7 year old son (I’ve never been in a car with no roof!). Next show I’m attending is Worlington Cricket Club, 27 August, 4 miles from home! This has spurred me on to do the first wheels off clean in 2 years! Surprising what COVID, moving house and ill health creates in looking after these great cars!!!! I still enjoy and love cleaning and fettling my Silver Arrow, never mind the buzz of actually driving her………………

ragement from viewers (we were only TT there). Interesting chatting to a couple of modified Mk4 Golf owners, regarding engine bay looks. Prior to attending this I had decided to take the grille out for a paint, as I have done with the lower grilles and exhaust panel, I’m very pleased with the end result. Also replaced Hi tone horn at this time, now sounds a lot better!

Jorge, was speaking to owner/builder of Dax Rush in background of photo. Car stays in UK, they spend most of time in Spain. Came back to UK 6 weeks ago, hoping to escape the summer heat for a few months, but it was even hotter here than in Spain, sometimes you just can’t win!

Saw the front scuff on Sunday morning cycling back home. Used Silver Arrow to do some shopping previous Thursday and not been past front of car. Really angry with whoever has just driven off, never mind it’s fixable, and it’s recoverable. I’ll have a look after Xmas decs are taken down from attic in garage! All decs taken down except last box, need to clear some floor space, then BANG! After a lot of swearing and cursing, reality was telling me my left wrist was broken, Hmmph!! After a visit to A&E not a lot going to be happening for the next few weeks. Ho, Ho, Ho, merry Christmas to you all. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable time.
