Having read one of the other members threads from a few years ago I thought I would have a go at polishing the charge pipe. This is not as easy as I thought, fortunately I have a few days where I can spend a couple of hours to do the best I can.
So far have paint stripped and polished a bit with wire wool.

Couldn't resist a couple of pics since the weather was so good after washing off the dust that had accumulated while doing all the different jobs.

Went to see Shak yesterday at Lowndes Garage in Bolton as the MOT was due and also because he had done the previous MOT with the last owner and wanted to make sure that the advisories he picked up then had been taken care of when I had the suspension work done back in January. All good with the car just one issue to sort out in the coming months.
Really nice, helpful guy and didn't mind me asking lots of questions, also very knowledgable about the TT, and recognised the car from when the previous owner had taken the car in !!!
Would definitely recommend Shak if your in the area.

I've been going to Shak for years and so have most of the NW meet crew. He's very accommodating and will often look into things for no charge. He used to have a TT and I actually have its rear springs on mine, so it lives on!BrianB wrote:Went to see Shak yesterday at Lowndes Garage in Bolton as the MOT was due and also because he had done the previous MOT with the last owner and wanted to make sure that the advisories he picked up then had been taken care of when I had the suspension work done back in January. By the way, there's a NW meet next Wednesday if you're in the area - viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1692
