So back in July the idea of owning a Mk1 TT became a reality and I picked up my blue 2002 225 Coupe. As soon as I had taken it for a test drive I knew this was the car for me.
Given the age of the car I knew there would be some work to be done and looking back through the history that came with the car one of the first jobs would be the replacement of the cam belt and water pump. In addition to this the key fob remote wasn't working and the drivers side dipped beam light appeared not to be working.
I replaced the battery in the key fob and through more luck than judgement managed to get it working or so I thought!!! The remote locking lasted about a month before it started playing up, sometimes working sometimes not I read lots of information online about resyncing the key to the car but all to no avail. The drivers side headlight I discovered would eventually come on if I switched the lights on and off several times and occasionally would come on at first attempt.
Having decided what needed to be done first I started looking around the area for someone to do the work and went to see Dave and his team at ADS in Preston. The car was booked in for the cam belt to be replaced and I asked if they could give the car a good look over especially underneath, the car had previously been fitted with Amax lowering springs and although the ride height was good I felt the rear wheel negative camber was a bit too much.

To cut a long story short the dampers had seen better days and the springs weren't in great shape either, so after some discussion I decided to have new springs and dampers fitted and some corrosion removed on the sub frames that had been highlighted.
After doing some reading online finally settled on Bilstein B14's and Forge adjustable tie bars to deal with the camber issue and arranged for the work to be done.

Regarding your locking did you ever get to the bottom of it? I'm suffering the same issue at the moment.
Actually starting to feel like I'm in the 90's

Dave ordered a new key from Audi and recoded it for me, picked the car up last Friday so only been a few days with new key, time will tell !!!!
