But there is Sally Pussey's Inn in Wootton Bassett, 5min from the Hilton.

Excellent food and beers. I always stop there on the way from Castle Combe to the hotel

As I'm new on the forum, but have been attending ADI for many years with the A2OC, I just want to tactfully add to the discussion about the ADI meal choices:
Each year, the quality of the food on offer seems to get worse, as does the choice. The price has increased too this year and this has led many of my A2 members to not attend the 'gala awards ceremony' part of the evening, choosing instead to go to Sallys Pussey nearby.
Last year, no-one from A2OC was in attendance and I got a rather stern telling off from headmaster (actually former headmaster) Paul Harris, who softened somewhat in his stance when I told him why A2OC were not there.
It seems that TTOC are having some reservations too about the way the catering arrangements are being (mis)handled in recent years and so really, we all need to voice these concerns to Autometrix so that something can be done.
I will be there this year as it happens, with A2OC, even though I'm coming in my new TT, so perhaps we need to have a discussion about it, to get something in place for the future, but without wanting to rock the boat?
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I'm glad you've mentioned my favourite eatery in the area, Sally Pussey's Inn It's a great place to chill out, relax and enjoy super food at a very reasonable price. I will certainly be there Friday afternoon/evening before our Beefeater meal
Other than that, it would be good if, for the price of £37 per head for the awards dinner, there would be a choice of three or four different meals.
Oh, and please pop round to the TTOC club stand as you're there with the A2 guys

It'd be nice if the food was warm too!A3DFU wrote:Other than that, it would be good if, for the price of £37 per head for the awards dinner, there would be a choice of three or four different meals.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome - I'll pop over at some point during the day I'm sure. I must find somewhere out of the way for my TT - I can still see the faces of the owners after that incident a few years back where a TT was side swiped by some kids in an Audi Driving Experience car.
Cheers,
Mike
